I am happy to announce that my side project bytecargo.app is officially hitting the 10th customer this month.
Back in 2019, the cargo business in Mongolia was just about to emerge, and my aunt was the pioneer in this business. Today, the business is transforming into a logistics sector that even the big player "MonLogistics" is into the business which proves that this field has so much potential.
At first started as a small problem for my aunt's freight forwarding business, now growing into 10 customers. I am having a lot of problems scaling up to 10 customers while tackling down different problems for each client.
I should mention the sentence Paul Graham said "Do things that don't scale". 1 year backwards, I started thinking of scaling this software. And somewhat watched a YCombinator video and loved the things they were talking on how to successfully build a business from ground up. Those memories of watching YC videos in heavy traffic while going back to home is still playing in my head today. I never thought this project will be the thing I will be doing for 4 years back then.
As of today, Migrating into multi-tenant architecture is really challenging. I have just white labeled copy paste projects on vercel while hosting separate db's on a ec2 instance. Now migrating into multi tenancy because maintaining separate requirements for different clients as a solo developer is time consuming. I wanted to merge them into one so that it is easy for maintaining.
